Photography trips on rivers are a universal way to observe the local culture. Five years ago I got to know the project of the photographer Alec Soth – SLEEPING BY THE MISSISSIPPI – a seminal photography project. I chose Jordan: close to home. Loads of mirrors. Loaded with meanings. I photographed places and people whose lives are directly touched by the Jordan River.
